Watching the inauguration on TV was a really distorted experience. Of course we were thrilled at what was going on. I wish I could have really visualized the scope of the moment. We saw everyone posing for the cameras, but didn't get to see all the funny earmuffs and get a real sense of the seating chart behind and the masses in front. This picture by David Bergman let's you really get a sense of the enormity. You can zoom in really far. I was pretty horified to see one of the Supreme Court justices seeming to snooze during Obama's speech. Maybe we are better off if Justice Thomas does does some of his snoozing ON the job.
